Making a video for Odd Duck was a great way to promote our awesome compression socks and engage with our customers.
Here are the general steps we followed when making the video:
-
We defined our purpose: We determined what message we wanted to convey and what action we want viewers to take after watching the video. On that note, we wanted to show that we are FUN, cool and a little bit different. We wanted viewers to connect with our brand and join us on an adventure.
-
We planned our video: We developed a script, storyboard, and shot list. We considered our target audience, the tone and style of our video, and the budget and resources available.
-
We gathered equipment and resources: We hired a crew with cameras, microphones, lighting, editing software, and other tools. We even hired our talent!
-
We filmed our video over two packed days: We set up the scene, prepared our actors or speakers, and recorded the footage. We had to be sure to capture enough footage to work with during the editing process.
-
We edited our video: Use editing software to cut and arrange your footage, add music and sound effects, and incorporate graphics and text. We edited the video until we were satisfied with the final product.
-
We published and promoted our video: Once we completed our video, we uploaded it to YouTube and promoted it through our social media channels, email marketing, and other marketing channels.
Remember that making a video can be a complex and time-consuming process, so be prepared to invest the necessary time and resources to create a high-quality product that represents your business well. Making this video was awesome and we can't wait to do it again.
